A busy fall

We've had a busy fall with the school year kicking off at work and home. In between all of the new routines, our house has been progressing quickly. It is beginning to feel like a real house and we are spending each week making decisions about shingles, siding, paint colors, floors, granite, kitchen style, bathrooms, appliances, door handles, furniture, throw rugs, etc. We are enjoying it every step of the way and are grateful that we have such a wonderful rental to live in while waiting for the house to be completed.

This week was exciting because electricity was installed, check out the preliminary lighting! And, we now have painted walls and the fireplace masonry has been started. Next step is flooring and trim.

Lots and lots of insulation went into the house this week. This is only a small part of it.
We have never lived in a house as tight as this one will be!
